Opened in 1965, Carson Valley Golf Course was designed by a local architect, Red Swift. He had a great vision when he developed the golf course and originally it included the Carson Valley Country Club restaurant, tennis courts and a swimming pool.
All very nice for 1965! Red Swift was also the original developer of the neighboring area that is known as the Ranchos and is today home for many people living in Gardnerville.
